Anyone have any idea how long Gary was at WTPI? Seems like he'd been there since at least the early 90's.

At least that long. I also remember Gary on the air at 103.3 FM WXTZ (Easy Listening format in Indy in the 70's and 80's). Later, when 103.3 FM became WXFX (Fox 103), the easy listening format was then moved over to 1430 AM (the sister station of 103.3 at the time). Gary was on the air there as well.

He was. Gary then left to program WHN New York for Emmis. Returned to Indy at WTPI in late '86/early '87. Gary was at TPI when XTZ became Magic and then the Fox. Are you thinking of Scott Evans at WXTZ?

Well, just another sign of getting older!
The guy I was really thinking of was not Gary Havens, but Gary HUMMELL - who does news now at WXNT! If my memory serves me correct, he was the one who has been at Easy Listening WXTZ in the past during the 80's........
Too many Gary's! And we haven't even brought up Gary TODD, from WIBC and later WXXP Anderson, or Gary DRAKE (aka Tom Reinhart) from WIFE in the 70's!
