Inexpensive skimmer solution

I am looking for an inexpensive solution to allow one of my stations to record the jock when the mic is open. Obviously, I need the ability to remotely start and stop the recording the the board mic is open (via contact closure), and the output should be in the form of a .mp3 or similar file than can be emailed to the programming consultant. Budget is tight for this project. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

The Marantz PMD-580 will take relay closures -and remote starts- and records to CF cards. Its also network addressable, which makes its easy to get the audio.

I had found the Aircheck product when I did a Google search. Anyone have any tips I should know before deploying it? Thanks,

Kevin
