That headline's not a jab at Chin-man, but...

So if Ken Barnett and Terry King are indeed out, and Larry Dixon, and now Brinkman...WOW. Does anyone see a pattern here? All the high salaries are getting the axe, regardless of their history at the station or in the market, and regardless of their audience. Time now to ship in the low-level talent from the local broadcasting school and have an airstaff made up exclusively of part-timers (saving the company $$$ on health insurance and other benefits.) Could voicetracking be very far off? "Stockholder value" is the only concern here from the top; Karmazin made that clear a couple of years ago, and the new regime is putting it into motion. Now, if they would just start with MANAGEMENT and work their way down...

You don't know if Terry King is gone or not, you still hear his voice on their commercials, now Ken Barnett maybe gone.

Who said Larry Dixon was out? Out of his full-time gig, yes, but he is still employed with KLUV as part-time. I believe he is on vacation right now.

Think of how much money could they save kicking Napoleon to the curb.

Nope, don't know for sure. There supposedly was a big meeting at the station this week, and nobody's apparently talking...yet.

Oh, no, he's probably the one who recommended the terminations! To Infinity, he's Napoleon DYNAMITE.

Infinity apparently has come down with the Clear Channel influenza.Cut the experienced and talented. Make sure anyone who works on an oldies/classic hits format is age 35 and below. I agree with BraindeadPrez, making the cuts is like mowing grass, you start at the top,not the other way around.
