Infinity's Nationwide Changes

Not sure if this is still news to anyone at this point, but Infinity has just annouced a load of morning show and format changes at its stations in the wake of Howard Sterns’ departure. It goes way beyond just Stern replacement. For example, some high profile rock stations are getting switched to Talk. One result of this is that, coupled with its earlier flip of Oldies 101 to Jack-FM, Infinity’s changes leave the nation’s biggest market without an Oldies *or* an Alternative/Active Rock.

Rover, who is now on Columbus’ WAZU via syndication from Cleveland, will get some additional markets including as Stern’s replacement on Infinity’s Chicago “hot talk” FM.

Perhaps the biggest news (to me, anyway), is that David Lee Roth became a certified medical emergency technician in 2004.

Here’s a link with all the details. Don’t know how long it will be active:

And presuming there's an audience for either/both of the formats, there's an operator wetting his pants with excitement to be able to have a free pass to that demo.
