Happily tooling down the freeway this morning and listening to The Lumberyard as usual when.....
At exactly 0900 Leslie Gore's "It's My Party" was suddenly interrupted mid-song with a soft female voice singing the praises of some doctor who was about to speak on hormone imbalance. Just as the good doctor started speak there was a plethora of other voices including The Beatles "Nowhere Man" and that lovely aforementioned female voice. After ten or fifteen seconds or so the random voices disappeared and the good doctor proceeded to expound on his lecture.
As fast as my little fingers could go, I hit the "FM" button and was back in the world on KOOL.
Switching back a couple of times the good doctor was still ranting, er, talking as of 35 minutes later. Alas, I drove home with white knuckles gripping the steering wheel and thinking of the nasty note I would write later to The Lumberyard's PD......oh.....wait.....he never answers, probably never reads and is most likely not interested. DAMN! We sure don't need another AM talker in the Valley of the McBush.
