Ingram

The new afternoon jock on WVOS-FM in the Catskills is none other than, Chris Ingram.
Yes, the son of THAT Ingram. Sounds pretty good too!

Can you post some airchecks of his show here ?

Just read this ( see below) on WVOS-FM's website

Chris Ingram began his broadcast career in news, in Boston. He’s been a radio news anchor, reporter, producer, newsroom manager, and a news-writer for CBS News in New York. But feedback from his friends led to a change in direction. “Everyone kept telling me I was funny, so I decided to try deejaying. It wasn’t until later that I realized they were talking about my looks, but by then it was too late.”

You might say Chris has radio in his blood. His grandfather, John, was a professional musician who played with all the major orchestras of the Big Band Era and for Toscanini in the NBC Radio Orchestra. His father is the legendary deejay and Radio Hall of Famer “Big” Dan Ingram. In fact, Chris got into radio at a very early age. “My first on-air experience was opening my father’s show on a visit to the studio while in third grade. It only lasted five seconds, but I was hooked!”

After a tryout in the frozen tundra of the Adirondacks, it was time for a shot at the big time. Now he says, “I’m so excited to join the radio family at VOS-FM, playing the Greatest Hits of All Time. We’re going to have a lot of fun together”

Be sure to catch the Chris Ingram Show, Weekday Afternoons at 2.

If this is Dan "The Man" Ingram's Son, if you're on this board. Welcome to your new position. (Although I'm not in the same market,) Then you must have a Sister Joan. I have an e-mail from her that I'd like to share with you. I's NICE to hear the Ingram name is still in radio! Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Regards,

Ken Gilbert

Hi Ken – just a quick note from John and me – don’t know if you remember us from Middlebury days – I was a student at “the college” and John was up working at the Inn. This was back in the very early 70s. Hope life has treated you well – you always were a very talented guy with pipes to matchJ

Take care and warmest regards,

John and Joan (Ingram) Gavigan
