A marriage of younger and older rock

WXPN-FM (88.5) is partnering with the programmer from former radio station Y100 to add younger, harder-rocking acts like Nine Inch Nails and Wolfmother to 'XPN's middle-aged sound.

Well, gee, everyone has to have their little dream to hold onto, eh? A few Jersey stations come to mind...

On Aug. 30, 'XPN will begin 10 hours of programming over three weeknights hosted by Jim McGuinn, Y100's former program director. His show will air from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays - three of 'XPN's slower nights.

Slower nights? How is this measured?

It's unfortunate neither station does anything for me, really.

What do you think Landow is getting paid for this?

Are there any perks for the other web 'volunteers' that JMG has employed for the web operation via this new deal?
