INOVONICS OMEGA USERS

Hearing something on the NAB floor is one thing (I like it), but using it in real life is another. I have one on the way... was wondering if there were any users on this board who have the box. Any tricks or pratfalls, things to watch out for as you dig in? How good are the presets?

the famous john burnill from the U K wrote the code based on his mbl4.should be a good processor.i think KZLA ,country in L>A> was running it.seemed pleased with it, bit preferred the mighty omnia 6 ex on their power fm.inovonics makes pretty good gear.even thier new david 3 box is darn good for the price.

Actually I just spoke with Jim Wood. The MBL-4 is quite different and the Inovonics processor is proprietory, which is what I figured. Only the GUI's look the same.

check the Omega manual for their acknowledgement to Mr. Burnill..i think Jim may be stroking his ego a little.he(Burnill) positively played a major role in the code.

I installed a Inovonics Omega several years ago, must have been when it first came out. I was very impressed, especially for the price. Easy to use/setup, etc. Nice sound..

I'm not doubting Burnill's involvemet, but I am sure whatever was done for this box belongs to Inovonics and Burnill would have been in legal trouble if he had ported over the design to the MBL-4 software. I am sure a non-disclosure was signed somewhere along the line.
