inquiries on ratings

I'm just wondering (and/or rather puzzled) on the significant rating jump for Win06. And I also noticed majority of the stations all have a rating spike. Is it due to Stern migrating to Sat. and people didn't follow? People can't all of the sudden decided to tune in to radio...

Except for KFI and the Spanish stations, most of the English stations are down. What you see in trades is not a rating, it is a share. Shares are always a part of 100 that each staiton has, so there can be no overall "jump" since 100 is 100. What can change is the rating, which is not published, which is the percentage of the univers, using radio or not. This data is only available to subscribers, though.

Re: Air America affiliates

I noticed KTLK had a moderate improvement, while AA affiliates in SD and NYC dropped appreciably (almost half of the previous book!). Any explanations or ideas, David or anyone else?

I can't see all the numbers, but it looks like some of the improvement is due to Stephanie Miller.

How much of Kiss FM's 4.9 12+ share is from KVVS/Lancaster?Just curious if anyone knows that stat...

In the past, KVVS has represented about 0.1 to 0.2 of the combo. Now, there is no way of knowing as KIIS selected "Sintle Line Reporting" where 100% simulcasts are reported as if they wqere a single station. Also affected are KRCD (no more numbers show for KRCV) and KBUE (no separate KBUA and KEBN numbers. It also appears thata Indie elected single line, too. Based on history, I would say that KIIS got a 4.8 and KVVS a 0.1.

Part of it is Stephanie. But don't forget that 'TLK is the Clippers station and may have benifitted from the Clips good fortune this year. I do notice it has been kinda quiet in the AAR/LibTalk-will-not-survive-[input holiday/book of choice here].
