Inquiring Minds Want To Know

Who will be the new Chief Weather Person, at WAKA Channel 8? I've been reading on b5's awesome web site and discovered that many names are floating around. I wonder which one will it be?

If anyone reading has any answers, feel free to pass them along.

P.S. Chris Bailey will be missed. My family loved him very much.

What happeed to Meterologist Bailey at WAKA? Since I haven't been able to dx WAKA since before the DTV transition, I haven't been keeping up to date with Montgomery TV.

I know when I'll miss him most. Labor Day Weekend and the Jerry Lewis Telethon without him just won't be the same. That man put more love and effort into the local telethon than he did into his weather, which was 110%.

Good luck whereever you go/are Chris - Montgomery will miss you. Hopefully for not too long. (Hint Hint ABC 32)

I guess with a contract simply not being renewed that wouldn't include any sort of noncompete, would it?

As of this posting, Ashley McDonald is back on at WAKA. She hasn't lost her touch at all. Hope she can boost the ratings at WAKA and have success once again.

P.S. To b5, hope you can get your site issues resolved. Been missing you.

I love how WAKA promoted this as some sort of big suspenseful surprise worth teasing, and in the end--all they did was tap one of their previous staff meteorologists. Are they so desperate for viewers versus WSFA that they resort to...well...yeah. They are. :D

Not to compare the two situations, but CBS (the network) at least did a few promos to 'introduce' Katie Couric as the new anchor of the CBS Evening News. Could WAKA have at least tried not to look so Mickey Mouse for once?
