Sorry, for a 'weird' almost non-radio post..but,

what station covers the browns?
(and, are they generous w/ free/comp. tickets)...

and, if not, to the above, how much is expected to
pay either, at the window(if available) *OR* do i have
to visit the 'corner' ticket window..(scalpers)..and what
is their estimated asking price?

-driving 3.5 hrs, from buffalo, want to see miami lose
on the road this weekend..

WMMS 100.7 FM/WTAM 1100 Clear Channel covers the Browns..would have no idea about comp/free tickets. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com would be a good place to start for ticket information I would think. Good Luck..

Browns tickets can be expensive.

100.7FM WMMS is the flagship station of the Cleveland Browns Radio Network. The morning show often gives away tickets.

You can also hear Best Browns Coverage on WTAM 1100 - tickets are often given away there, as well.

not being a smart ass (by the way)

but I've always done well with Ticketmaster's website (http://www.ticketmaster.com)

I would wait until the day of the game. There are many variables (weather, opponent, date; like the Browns/Steelers Xmas Eve and quantity needed) that can work to your favor or against. It depends upon your appetite for risk. You can get tickets most times after kickoff for less than face value. Scalpers for the most part will hold the line and then dump late (midway through the first quarter). The ideal situation is to find the seller (season ticket holder) that isn’t interested in attending or has extra tickets prior to kickoff. At least an hour, closer to two. They will in almost all cases sell for face value or less. Plus, you can "shop" which seat or section you would choose to sit. Good luck....

If you are driving in from Buffalo, the first station that you can hear the Browns game / network pre-game coverage is on WFUN 970 AM out of Ashtabula, Ohio. You can start picking up this station at about Erie, PA.

> I would call the Browns ticket office Friday afternoon and see how many tickets the visiting team may have sent back from their allotment..

>attn: DP-III

I will not post the details of the success stories,
but waiting until after the game has begun..
You can land some reeeealy great "steal of a deal" !!
well, let's say i know, personally the benefits of that !!
(big time : )

Also, finding a family/group that sincerely has one extra
ticket, they will be willing to more 'fair' than the scalpers..

Thank You !

>I had a blast! at the browns/miami game!!!!
on soo many levels, besides the entertaining
on the field excitement.

I read the message board that was posted (for me, and i
thank you all!! : ) but this is the funny part:

-the message boards made it seem like..i was screwed[no tickets, no way]
or, I was going to REEALY have to pay for the tickets. Well,it helped that
the opponent was miami at 3-6. I got there right at game time
and had no trouble w/ tickets!!
..first scalper, right outside the $20.ramp,($20 dollars to park ????
See parking story below, it shows why cleveland Rocks :)

the very first scalper said, $45 ticket,sec 538..he wanted $40;
i told him $20/ *sold* it was that easy !! as mentioned,
again, it helped it was 'just' an AFC opponent. pass it along to
the browns-fans only message boards, u guys are awesome : )
but tickets weren't impossible to get, i paid more in gas!!
I then sat two sections over towards the middle..fans were awesome
to say the aisle seat was empty, and cool for me to take it !! : )
-
The story of my parking..it makes me 'sad' that the person
who did this incredible act of generousity(?sp) most likely will
never read this, BUT at the PA-Line, i noticed a "Browns" fan
driving to the game, i waved..and wrote on a piece of white paper,
"Going to the game ? it's my first ! - go browns!"
they wrote back "Follow Us."

so, not only was he and his wife, cool enough to show me the
exact way to the Stadium ( I had mapquest.com directions, but
what is easier than following someone?) *I Will tell You* when
that person leads to the a parking ramp. And, since they were
driving ahead of me, they decided to pick up my parking, as well...

-AT THE $20.Ramp!!!!-

they said, Quote: "It's your first game, this is our gift to you!"

When I went to the street vendor, I lost site of them..but that is the kind of fans you guys are !! -And, the families, fans in the stands, are awesome too! Lot of: 'father/son' and 'father, son and son's friend' !!

yea, there were a few 'true football fans' however, for the most part,
the fans made it FUN !! they boo-ed the dolphins fans, but didnt
go beyond the lines of good taste ( throwing beer on them;
swearing/shoving/pushing..etc)..Yes, that is FUNNY, but it takes something
away from the whole enjoyable afternoon - happy to report there
was minimal incidents. I didnt notice -ANY- And, I was looking
around, ALOT because I was impressed with the design, layout and
organization of the stadium!!! Very Awesome...loves the
in-stadium Legends resturant and escalators. One of the
better under-rated stadiums the league has to show off !!

It was great atomosphere(?sp)*Esp. that Dawg Pound!!!*
(that is another post all together). those fans are amazing!!

-it also helped: The weather was Perfect and the Browns won 22-0!
but it still was an unbelievable true NFL Experience !! thnx, clev.

it is true:
Cleveland Rocks.
