Insane repetition on WXKB Cape Coral FL

Just looking around at the charts and came across some really insane repetition from WXKB in cape Coral/ Ft Myers Florida. I know that CHR's are suppose to be repetitive and while its pushing its, its not uncommon to see some CHR's push their powers at 120-15 or so, but has anyone seen anything like this??

1. Miley Cyrus See you again 168
2. timberland Apologize 155
3. Flo Rida Low 153.

What is even more astounding is that they have all of those plays, without too many in the AM drive 17,9 & 14 respectively. Amounts which are generally typical for Power rotation songs in AM drive, but then they jump up to 30+ & even 40+ in other dayparts. Can someone explain this?

I cant beleive Miley is number one already, its a decent record but I wouldnt push it so hard this early on. Alot of stations arent even touching that record. The question is, outside the powers, what is the rotation like on other songs?

From Feb. 1-Feb. 7:

Alicia Keys, "No One" (154 spins, up from 88)
Timbaland/One Republic, "Apologize" (153 spins, down from 155)
Miley Cyrus, "See You Again" (125, down from 168)
Fergie, "Clumsy" (107, up from 62)

They previously had "Low" by Flo Rida at 153 spins, but that has since gone down to 89. And would they have "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado at #13? That's a recurrent.

Golden Boy, I'm guessing you're not too familiar with the playlists and formatics of some stations. B-103.9 is known to hold on to some songs forever. Q-94 Richmond sometimes does the same thing, and 97.9 NCI Columbus was legendary for it.

If repeating the powers every 40 or so minutes (150 times a week) works for them, congrats.

I'm going to guess they are spinning Powers every hour. 168 hours in a week, so 150 spins tells me they play 1x per hour in their logs, and specialty programming (mix shows, syndicated countdowns, etc.) is what lowers the spin count to the 150 range.

It's not what I would do, but if it works for them then they're doing something right.

We don't spin the 7 powers more than 48 times a week, and that works for us.

My station comes down somewhere in the middle. We spin 5 powers 80-90 times per week. It seems to work ok too.

WIOQ in Philly:

1 1 LEONA LEWIS Bleeding Love 156 157 -1 1.3982
2 2 MILEY CYRUS See You Again 153 152 1 1.3765

That said, can't say I mind at all that these two particular songs are getting all of these spins... ;D
