Inside Look at WILM on Radio Racket

Online broadcast "Radio Racket" this weekend includes an interview with recently resigned KYW sports reporter Phil Neuman followed by detailed "behind the scenes" discussion of possibly similar situations and occurances at WILM Newsradio. The broadcast can be head online at:http://www.radioracket.com/

Has anybody heard facts/rurmors of what WILM is like (inside) these days?

WILM does not sound like a Clear Channel news talk station and is not operated like a Clear Channel station. When Clear Channel takes over a station, the on-air product is almost always improved, albeit more standardized and less local. The Delaware cluster is among the worst performing in the company. Rush: In. Loudell: Out. Otherwise Clear Channel has made almost no changes in a year and a half. The question is: When does the axe fall? Either Clear Channel will, like CBS Radio, start unloading under performing properties and the new owner will clean house. Or Clear Channel will do what it takes to bring the on-air product and revenues up to speed.
