Do not sit back on your gluteus maximus and think that nothing is going on at WGST. This is far from reality. The highest levels are involved and actively entranced on what path to take. It appears that R& S are just the first step. I would not be surprised if a few other past proven talents that graced Atlanta popped up soon. I would not also be surprised if WGST goes to all entertainment Talk rather than conservative Talk.

How about putting some famous people on the air like movie stars or something, "all entertainment'. They could call it Planet radio! How about determining what people like the most in life and making that their format, it could be 'all puppies and hapiness' format. What an exciting time at GST!
 
When you have a Radio Station that is in the shape that our beloved WGST is in, then you must make decisions. I will NOT belittle the thoughts of anyone on this board because if you think about this its probably true.. WGST is probably doing something to make corrections to its past mistakes. Randy and Spiff is a good move, pretty good show.. Lets see what happens from here.. Compete with WSB, never in a million years, not enough signal, but go a different direction Why not?
 
I was going to make a quick comment about WGST as a listener so I figured this would be as good a place as any.

I have no interest in listening to Randy and Spiff although my mom might tune in now. I'll have to point it out to her.

I have very much enjoyed them getting rid of Kimmer and putting the syndicated Ramsey show on his place. My opinion of their afternoons did a 180 with that move. I still don't listen except for when I'm in the car between 3 and 7, but before the Ramsey/Kimmer switch I didn't even listen then.

Listen. if former traffic reporter Scott Slade can do it, and win awards for it, why not Randy and Spiff?
 
Yes, by all means, lets get someone with real, hands-on foreign policy experience... Like Larry and Eric, or Southside Steve, or the Kimmer, or George W Bush. Some folks can't seem to look reality in the eye... possibly because they're turned around the wrong direction.
