Hi to everyone - we've just joined this Board, a week ago.
Our interest was sparked by a recent arrangement with an excellent community station based in Pennsylvania, who have begun to air some of our Programmes.
A brief introduction - we are The Album Zone - a bunch of friends, music fans all, who have worked together over many years, in various radio locations - and we then decided to do it ourselves, as we grew so tired of Stations playing the same 500 songs over and over, round and round.
Our 'HQ', as it were, is here in London, UK - although our Presenters are based in various locations, not only England - but in Denmark, USA etc.
We play mainly Album Music, all Programmes are presented (not just endless tracks like a jukebox !) and have an extensive music library of around 22,000 Albums, old and brand new (hmm, think of 8 peoples music collections all converging !).
We are looking for more outlets, and if anyone may be interested in taking some of our Programming, we would love to hear from you.
To us, this is all about communication, and the more locations we broadcast to, and the more people and Stations we get to know worldwide, the better.
We currently are aired by Stations in the USA (6 hours weekly), Netherlands (12 hours weekly), and Slovakia (2 hours weekly) - whether this be via the Internet, or Local AMs and FMs, and it is something we dearly wish to build on, whether it be via Community Radio, College Stations, or other locations.
We are mainly Rock/Pop based, although we have, on several occasions, ventured in to other musical areas with specialist Programming.
By all means say Hi, or drop us a line at : [email protected].
We have a MySpace page too, at myspace.com/albumzone, which will provide you with a little more info, or for a more in-depth (and sometimes bizarre) slant on things, we also update various news on a separate Blog, at thealbumzone.blogspot.com.
So, that's about it !
By all means say Hi, and we wish you a fine weekend from London town,
Johnny
