Interesting artcle on Classic Rock

Good article. Thanks Grit. Anyone see the Bangor 12+ ARBs on All Access? When does Augusta and Portland come out?

Good classic rock is a lot of fun....and hard to find. WKIT is a good example of a good classic rock station, although they play pretty much any rock they want. Still the best rock station in Maine in my opinion.

Your station did very, very well Chuck....that jumped right out from the start, since it was double what it was 6 months ago. Congrats! As for other numbers from Bangor:

The other really noticeable number was WTOS plummeting from an 8.7 to a 5.2 in 12 months. In fact, seemed like all the Blueberry music stations took a hit....the "New Bear" fell a ways, too.

No idea when the Augusta and Portland numbers fall. Maybe this part of the discussion deserves its own topic area.

That was a good article, Grit. BTW, it was great to see you and Robin at the Bucksport Bay Festival recently. I miss the mirth and spirited dialogue.

I have to be careful with what I post here, but the recent Skynyrd concert with 8K plus in attendance is a pretty good indication of how well classic rock is loved and received. I-95 is still my go-to rock station. Fred has done an admirable job with WWMJ. I love WKIT and the staff, but it doesn't take much for me to punch away from a station. The new rock just doesn't appeal to me--I guess I'll always be a geezer rocker, and I'm okay with that.

Enjoyed bumping into you, too, Sport ;D
