Interesting article about Spotify

A big chunk of revenue is still tied to advertising, and they'll be doubling their subscription price from $12 to $24.

As Michael said, I misread the article. It's more like $14 a month. But it goes up from there depending on the service.
There are 2 services I could probably never drop, YouTube Premium and Spotify. Unless they price them way to high.

Update: As we said in April, Spotify is officially raising its subscription price. This time, not because of music royalties:

“We’re increasing the price of the Premium Individual so that we can continue to invest in and innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience,” the company said in an email to subscribers. For new individual subscribers the monthly rate will jump one dollar to $11.99 per month beginning in July. The duo plan price will rise two dollars, to $16.99. And the price of the family plan will jump three dollars to $19.99. The student price is now $5.99. It will be unchanged.

Just one year ago, they raised prices by $1.

Your YouTube Premium subscription includes YouTube Music. Just curious as to how you find that Spotify provides additional value or offers you something that YouTube Music doesn’t?
