INTERESTING ARTICLE: SUB CHANNELS & DIGITAL STATIONS INCREASED 80%+ (2010-2011)

There is a strange popup on this page.......just work around it.

Highlights.............
4,552 over the air channels being delivered by 1726 full power stations
(that is up 2,034 from the end of 2010). 600+ of that is subs like Bounce, Antenna TV, etc.

Mention of WBBJ, Jackson TN. (CBS, Me-TV share sub channel).

Broadcast groups with the most subs:
60 Ion stations offer 211 subs
Sinclair Broadcasting 59 stations have 160 subs
Raycom 40 stations have 107 subs
Gray TV 34 stations have 97 subs
NBC owned 24 stations have 75 subs

Do people even bother to watch all the sub-channels?

No. Atlanta has about 50 and there are only about 4 that I view regularly. Most are pure garbage.
