Interesting bit of History...

Question: On the same day (September 21, 1955), two of the most enduring hits of the early rock era were recorded. Name the songs, songwriters, artists and recording studios.

The songs were: "Tutti Fruitti" by Little Richard (Richard Wayne Penniman and Dorothy LaBostrie), recorded at the truly legendary J&M Studios at Rampart and Dumaine Streets in New Orleans including a band with legendary players Herb Hardesty on sax and Earl Palmer on drums;

-and "Sixteen Tons" by "Tennessee" Ernie Ford (Merle Travis), recorded at the old Capitol Records Studios at 1000 Vine St., Hollywood...the famous Capitol "record stack" building with three new studios was nearing completion at 1060 Vine, on the corner of Hollywood Blvd.
