( Born and raised in New York, JD Howard is a familiar voice to Long Island radio listeners. "On the air," on Long Island since 1989, most of which with WALK 97.5, JD has recently teamed up with the Long Island chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help raise funds and awareness, and to help improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. JD is a cancer survivor himself.)
You would think with his experience, and on and off-air rapport with the Long Island community that he would be rewarded for his loyalty and his intimate roots with Long Island. Yet JD Howard has never filled in for anyone on weekdays. I mean Holly Levis is great but she's just done two weeks for Scott Miller, once while Miller was on vacation and the previous week where he was filling in for Mark and Cindy. You would think that with two weeks he would have been allowed to split with Holly. She could have done one week and then Howard could have done the other week. I guess they just don't think he's good enough to come in during the week.
