Interesting notes about last night on CBS:

For the 8:00 pm edt.

Both Out of Practice and Courting Alex finished 4th in the ratings.

Out of Practice drew a 4.8 and Courting Alex drew a 4.5

I figured that since American Idol was not on that time slot

that CBS would instantly take over that time slot considering

both came on after Two and a Half Men.

But I guess they got lost in the midst of NBC's Deal or No Deal.

I guess if they don't improve they both could be gone by the end

of the year.

Thank you for explaining.
I never had much confidence in either show pulling great numbers against Idol or DOND. The question is, will they pull better than anything else that CBS could put in that time slot? I think both sitcoms might do better in other time slots but they are too formulaic for that time slot

Re: So?

I thought Out of Practice's first time slot (9.30PM on Monday's) was a good slot for them. I dunno about these new time slots. I would hate to see a good show go down the tube because of it. Then again, look at the other good shows that were canned because of their bad time slot (e.g. Futurama)

"The King Of Queens" has been the only CBS comedy to hold it's own on Wednesday nights. If "Out of Practice" or "Courting Alex" was any good or CBS believed in them, CBS wouldn't have moved them out of Monday<P ID="signature">______________
