Interesting song on 100.3

Mumford and Sons "I Will Wait" played around the 12 o'clock hour on....KILT.

Interesting song for a country station.

It's not the first time they've played it. I'm actually surprised the buzz plays any Mumford they sound very country with a nickelback singer

No...it doesn't belong, anymore than Kid Rock's cover of "Sweet Home Alabama" did...yet KILT played it before the flip to The Bull.

I'm not sure what CBS is trying to accomplish with 100.3 anymore. All the history of the station has been stripped, and the playlist is extremely tight these days. I can't imagine this incarnation of KILT will ever draw the amount of listeners that it once did as FM 100.

It's kinda like looking at a '67 Mustang fastback sitting in the junkyard. You know the prestige that it once had....and can't believe that someone would actually let it fall into the shape that it currently sits in.

It doesn't sound any less country than dozens of songs played on 100.3 over the years.

It really turns my stomach to see CBS destroy one of the most respected country stations in the country, which was 100.3 KILT. OHHHH.... CBS is well known for their TIGHT playlists! How sad local radio IS. SAD SAD

I think the plan is for the current 100.3 to fail.

Then a copy of KRTH or WCBS FM can be cloned in Houston. At least I hope so.

I don't see how that could be true. Why would CBS want to set up a station to fail? A heritage station no less? I believe CBS is trying to regain KILTs position as the country leader in this market, but their efforts are long over due. We should've seen this kind of revamping when it became appearant 93Q was having success with its top40 approach to the format. It's an uphill battle and I would much rather see Q taken down and go another direction. I hope the bull works for them. It is nice to finally see something new attached to KILT. That yellow FM 100.3 KILT logo was old. I don't know how many more variations they could have come up with that old yellow and blue logo

I think this song could be classified as Alternative Country, similiar to The Lumineers "Hey Ho"...here in Austin KASE and KVET (the 2 mainstream country stations) dont play them, but they do play them on KOKE (Austin's Alternative County Station)..nice to see Houston radio loosening up a bit and stepping out of their comfort zone..

Yeah, but the song sticks out like a sore thumb when the next songs are Lynyrd Skynyrd sounding knock-offs with lyrics about being country.
