who is Krista? I thought it was interesting that not one but two internet only radio stations beat the local fm station.
 
Accurate??? Who runs this site, where and what type of questionnaires were distributed? I tried to find the company or author of this site, and only saw a first name. But, there is an advertising link.. sounds like a site dedicated to make money by promoting businesses in the Pocono region and catering to those business that want to promote themselves.. not scientific or acceptable.

So, my Name is Tom, and I put up a website and declared that my internet radio station is #1 in the region.. are you going to accept that?
 
I don't own or have anything to do with Pibco, but I'm listening to it right now and it actually sounds really good! They also have about 1200 fans on facebook, which is MORE than 93.5 SBG's facebook page. They have some kind of alternative music playing now. Yes they do seem to sell advertisements, but at least they're not owned and operated by corporate @$$holes like the 3 stations in Stroudsburg.
 
Efferent Media put up the website and designed the contest. People nominated different businesses and people for each catagory and then people voted...the votes got counted....the person with the most votes won....Efferent Media is a web consulting business out of long island (I did the research) sorry this post sent you on such a tizzy. I just thought it was interesting.

Not to state the obvious, but an internet survey, by an internet research firm is going to favor a company with heavy internet ties. That's like doing a phone survey based on satellite radio listeners and being surprised that their favorite station is a satellite channel. :D
 
Thought if funny that the local station finished last in every category to 2 internet stations, and a morning host who hasn't been on the air in 5 years.. Damn, people seem to hate their local station!!!
 
YES!!! Even though 93.5 is crystal clear in my area, I NEVER listen to it. Full of horrible main-stream music, voicetracked djs, and hardly any local news updates. What's the point of listening to SBG anyway? Most kids that like that crappy music listen to KRZ on 107.9 anyway.
