INTERFERENCE CASE #176 (FM)

A poster in a another message board mentioned that he was having trouble receiving WIOT and thought it was I-BLOC. This was happening within the protected contour. I put it into the software and sure enough that what is happening:

Notice that the red circle is clipped by WMGC's HD.

WIOT is getting a double whammy! WOMC's and WMGC's are both running HD. Essentailly WOMC HD signal is on 104.5 with .95 kW and WMGC is on 104.9 with .25 kW!

Oh ElCheapo...care to say anything about Greater Media's defacto jamming on this one?

He is too busy jamming the board with reprints of old, iBiqity propaganda and press releases.

Yeah - one user report of interference on a chat board of interference on the fringes between two major cities does not a case against HD make.

If he really was experiencing interference in the overlap area, he's much closer to the Detroit DMA anyway, and should be tuning into Detroit radio from there.

If anyone listened to the kooks in this forum (and thankfully they don't) you'd think IBOC was sent to steal your car and kill your children.
