Interference

It seems like every time I travel between Fremont and Elyria on I-80 there's this weird interference on
94.5, 101.1 and 107.9. The rest of the dial has "weird" static as well. Am I the only one that notices this?

I've noticed odd static while driving the turnpike when I'm just a couple of miles east of the SR 53 exit for Fremont - only thing there I can think of is WFRO 99.1's tower is located within about 2 miles from there and could be causing blanketing interference. Where exactly between Fremont and Elyria does this occur as is it on those 3 frequencies all at once?

It makes it so Z 107.9 and if WRIF or WHOT were listenable on 101.1 it would be impossible. I'm from Pittsburgh and when I keep going on the turnpike even passed those areas it goes all the way until about Streetsboro and then it goes back to normal. I don't really know how to explain it until i get back in that area and record it. It's Like the Frequency "Closes Up" or something. It's hard explaining lol.

I wonder if it has anything to do with "IBOC" (aka I Block), which is the HD radio streams of adjacent stations. It might be WMMS HD-2 signal affecting 101.1 (but even that's a stretch). I'm not familiar with what is a local signal to the west of here outside of the Greater Cleveland/Akron stations. Is there a 100.9 or a 101.3 nearby?

There's a 101.3 in Mansfield that's a country format unless static sounds different out there (which I don't think). I know what tower interference sounds like because I have family that lives right in front of the WJPA tower in Washington, PA (South of Pittsburgh). But, that being said, WJPA isn't in HD. Could it be the atmosphere interfering?

There's WMJK 100.9 between Bellevue and Clyde and about 5 miles from the turnpike at the closest point but they're not in HD.
