Intermittent SQ issues at KSTR

Re: Intermittent SQ issues at KSTR et al.

It must be contagious. Now I'm seeing similar issues at WFAA/8. KFWD/52's signal quality is down too.

All are still coming in fine. Most folks wouldn't notice unless they obsess over signal meter readings like I do.

Maybe - in fact that's what I initially suspected with KFWD since it's susceptible to tropo from KCEN - but those are the only stations I've noticed developing SQ issues recently, and the issues have persisted for several days and show up in both my primitive converter box readings and Bob's more sophisticated graphs.

The graphs show two different patterns: KSTR and WFAA show generally good SQ with small random, intermittent dips; KFWD showed a more consistent drop a la K31GL.

After about 4 days KFWD's issue may be fixed. I noticed their graph abruptly returned to 100% starting about 2:30 this morning. It was still acting up last night but I bet it'll be OK when I recheck it tonight.

Whatever I was seeing on KSTR seems to have been fixed as of Friday evening. Graph looks rock-steady now and my own readings have been more stable over the weekend.
