Internet listening is UP

I don't know if anyone who has or operates Internet radio streaming has noticed a significant increase in listenership. I have recently maxed out my bandwidth cap at LIVE 365 at times of the day, and my evenings even though slow or slower, has increased. ( I like to see more of an improvement but I'll take what I can get).
Besides my upward movements, I see my competitors around me also increasing.
I'm still alot weaker on my shoutcast directory, but I need to promote that I'm on their directory to my listeners alot more if at all. For those who have trouble getting on in the daytime on LIVE365, they don't know that they can hook up to me on Shoutcast. That will change in a few days.
Has anyone else noticed an increase on theirs?

We seem to be steadily climbing over the past 4-6 weeks. We've still never recovered to the level from last year's Independence Day meltdown on Live365, but we're getting closer, but then again, we had a fair amount of press surrounding our launch.

I was only signed on last August. But what happened during last 4th of July? What was the meltdown. It couldn't been worse then the DCMA meltown last Feburary.

A third of the stations on Live365 were wiped out on 7/3/05 due to two hard disks being blown on the same server-even in a relatively sophisiticated array on a server, that's simply too much to overcome at once.

Ha seriously? The equivilent of 3 hard-drives hold all the content on Live365... not only lame, but that's simply bad design, and obviously no backups. ::) I feel much better about my own systems now, thanks.

Sorry it effected everyone though... so did the 10,000 some customers of Live365 get them to upgrade thier system to something more failsafe (like multiple locations) with backups?

My Live365 stream lost 25% of it's total cume thanks to the "Crash of 2005". While my station always tends to max out, it has never been the same after the crash. I would be solid maxed out with only VIPs gaining additional access. I now find there are some periods during the day where I'm close to being maxed out but not quite.

I can relate to you on hard drive crashes, but Shoutcast hasn't been much better, as far as paying for stream providers and trying to get or stay on their directories. I'm using Live 365 for my start up listeners and extend it with Shoutcast... but it's been very inconsistent.

I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO LIVE 365 FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS, IT'S ONE OF THE BEST INTERNET SERVICES I LISTENED TO. I GAVE UP ON RADIO FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS BECAUSE TOO MANY COMMERICALS, SAME 30-50 SONGS BEING REPEATING EVERYDAY. I USED TO LISTEN TO CD'S AND WENT TO LIVE 365 AND YAHOO RADIO WHICH HAS TO MANY COMMERICAL BREAKS. AND SOMETIMES I LISTEN TO SURF MUSIK OR GO TO RADIO-LOCATOR TO FIND STATIONS. LOCAL RADIO IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE BECAUSE OF THE NON RESTRICTIONS OF HOW MANY STATIONS A BROADCASTER CAN OWN.
