internet radio startup questions..

http://radio.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://www.pirateradio.com Still wandering around in an effort to simply and cheaply throw my station online, when i found this software..i can tell it's nowhere near the live 365,loud city, sites..but looks interesting to me. Remember i'm not in this for a profit..just want to play online. I see it's somewhat limited and basic, and i can't tell if it would suppost station playlist, etc..but there are people on there playing music. I really don't see a problem having to down load their player..most people have three or four players on their desktop anyway. MY concerns are the ability to run a tight board when I'm not live..and apparently, there seems to be NO one from ASCP,BMI, ETC..demending fees. Most of the stations appear to be outside the U.S., but there are several here in the states..does anyone have any indepth experience with this or advice on how to run a professional stream with no dead air, etc.. thanks..

I run Radio M on pirate radio. The 1 thing I do is take all of my music plus liners and edit the dead air out. Give a listen. Let me know if I can help.

Hi,

I own an internet radio station, the best software for internet broadcasting is "Sam Broadcaster" There alot invovled, but well worth it, it will tagged all of your music through amazon, with album covers and stuff and save the data on your hard drive to copy on another PC. Clockwheel software included ..A great music scheduler to keep you legal. ..4 players available, with 2 chains of audio processing. easy set-up for encoders, excellent sttuff. if you need help on set-up or getting started, let me know. [email protected]

Thanks

Hello.

I'm looking to start up an online radio station at low or no cost that would broadcast community news and information. What would I need to do to get one set up?
