Internet Streaming and Bitrate

I'm wanting to get a feel for what you guys are doing on streaming audio. I have a Internet station that have built for my church that has been officially up since
9/1. It's holding its own but I'm seeing some disturbing information in the station stats. On one event I had a listener or listeners try to listen in Barbados. 56 streams were launched in a 24 hour period for a total of 30 Minutes of listening.

There are several other drops with 2 minutes or less of streaming time which I know could just be related to the song being played but I'm just wondering if
my bitrate is too high.

I'm streaming at 64K MP3 Pro. I'm picky about the audio and like the idea of being able to connect the laptop to my Sony and get a pretty good sound. Have you seen or heard any discussion on this and if so I'd appreciate any feedback you might have.

You can hear the station at www.live365.com/stations/wesleyradio
