Internships in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre?

Hey all, just wondering if any of you radio heads know of any stations that need radio interns/work/ect in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area? Just tryin to get some pro experience under my belt. If anyone has any info/help for me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You could always try our public radio station, WVIA-FM. But you had better be serious about it.

Try calling some stations up in the WB area and see if they need any help! Are you in college because most of them require it be for college credit.

Well, don't come in expecting anything big. I've been in this market for over two decades...all of the interns I encountered were unpaid students from LCCC or Kings College who were just given the crap jobs to do that nobody else wanted. We only allowed one of them on the air and that was for a very short time during an emergency. The rest of the time it was either cleaning up the newsroom and tagging along with a field reporter on the rare event he or she gets sent out to cover something - or - going along with the engineers to set up and tear down remotes.

Thanks everyone for the help/advice! Much appreciated!
