Java Joel was kind enough to let me interview him...he's celebrating his sixth year at KISS-FM! He seems like a really fun guy and very talented, too! He's also the music director at The Lake (106.5) and does other stuff around town, as you know

I liked the fact that in Margaret's interview, at least, Java Joel seemed pretty humble and self-effacing. He's no blowhard.

In fact, he's a radio geek like many of us.

I'm not sure he made it clear, Margaret, but his "Montreal" VT gig is at "94.7 Hits FM", a station in his old hometown area of upstate New York that rimshots Montreal. It doesn't do bad into the English-speaking areas west of the city. It's by no means a powerhouse into Montreal, but a former competitor in Canada recently bought 25 percent of the Martz operation.

Yes, he seemed to say that about the Montreal station. I agree that he didn't seem like a blowhard. He had a sense of humor and seems like a cool guy.
