interview with new orleans mayor ray nagin

You want to know how the new orleans mayor feels about recent developments in his city? Here's an interview with the mayor that aired on WWL-am yesterday. Thanks to "-TJ-" and "Tom Betz" respectively for posting these links on the Louisiana board.

The interview is about 14 minutes long. The language is somewhat graphic as the mayor lets loose his frustrations.
Edited by timbuc2 on 09/02/05 05:59 PM.

I heard the interview on "Coast To Coast AM" because George Noory played it, and yeah that was good radio! I wonder if WWL actually aired the language, and if they did would that be considered "newsworthy" and no offensive? TV and radio stations can get away airing foul language if it's within context, and part of the story.

According to "-TJ" who posted the first link, WWL did air the interview uncensored.

As did CNN, which aired a 30 second bite as part of its coverage before the President arrived Friday morning..

Joins my list of favorites, including the Jim Traficant ''get that F'N mike out of my face'' comment on WTAM after his conviction..

Did anyone see the ''Geraldo Meltdown'', and Sherpard Smith getting into it with Shawn Hannity on ''Hannity and Combs'' Friday Night on Fox News? I wonder if some of the ''Fox All Stars'' might be leaving the Bush Administration Reservation over the whole Katrina debacle..

I did not see the "Geraldo Meltdown" or the Shepard Smith/Shawn Hannity incident...please fill me in because I doubt they'll re-run them :)
Thanks!

I caught part of it. If I remember correctly people were trying to cross a bridge the leads out of the city and authorities were stopping them from leaving. Geraldo and Smith went off and basically said if people want to leave and go to a parish that's better off than New Orleans let them.
