Interview with Sherman Kaplan, Cincy native and at WAIF and WSAI 50 years ago

Sherman Kaplan has been on WBBM Newsradio in Chicago for several years, but he got his start in Cincinnati in the late 50s/early 60s at WAIF-FM and at WSAI as "Mike Sherman the Night Creature". He talks about Cincinnati back then and his radio roots, which started in high school there. He also talks about Chicago, but I just wanted to post it in this forum since it's rare to talk to old-timey radio people from Cincinnati 8)

Re: Interview with Sherman Kaplan, Cincy native and at WAEF etc

Yeah, at first I had written "WAEF" but when I did a search to see what's going on with it now, I kept seeing "WAIF", so I second-guessed myself. That's the problem with not being there to find out all about the town and radio history :-\

Thanks for listening!

Sherman also did news for WTVN in Columbus before his job took him to Chicago.
