I vaguely remember this show. I think it was on around 1990-91. For a long time, NBC was the dominant force in late-night talk shows, with the Tonight Show and Tomorrow (with Tom Snyder) and later, Late Night with David Letterman. Then around 1989 or so, CBS and ABC decided to launch talk shows; CBS had the short-lived "Pat Sajak Show" followed by the even shorter-lived "Midnight Hour" (which aired in the 12:40 time slot), and ABC had "Into The Night". I guess the idea was that Dees' success in radio would somehow translate into a successful TV show, which wasn't the case.
I think he had Styx as one of the musical guests around this time. This was around the time of the Tommy Shaw-less revival (Glen Burtnick filled in). My sister was a big Glen Burtnick fan, and I think she taped the show. Since the album was released in 1990, I'm assuming "Into The Night" went on the air around 1990 and was probably off the air no later than the end of 1991.
I also remember I was glad when "Midnight Hour" went off the air, because CBS replaced it with reruns of "The Prisoner".
