My Name is Ron Cole, my radio career started in 1977 when I got my 1st DJ job at KJAK in Slaton, Tx.
I moved into Engineering 1978 and worked on various stations all over the Lubbock Tx area including time as a TV Engineer at KCBD-NBC and KTXT-PBS.
In 1986 I moved to San Antonio to Chief104.5 KZEP & 1250 KXET while in San Antonio I did contract work for stations all around the area and in 1994 I became part owner of KCWM 1460 in Hondo, Tx. About this time I wrote my own RadioStation automation software that ran KCWM as well as other stations belonging to friends in Texas.
In April of 1996, I left broadcasting for the Cellphone business working for Nokia for 17 years then T-Mobile for 5 Years until I retired in 2000.
In between Nokia and T-Mobile, I did some contract radio work primarily at 770 KAAM Dallas and a few others in West Texas.
