Just started last year to my surprise; mainly on those small, small light-bulb wattage stations which pack about twelve subchannels of public domain, infomercial and foreign programming on. It's such a shame that QVC, which I always associated with being a high-quality shopping channel for being strictly cable-only unlike HSN and Jewelry TV, feels this is a good way to get out their signal.
A poster on the Phoenix TV board notes that the ION station there has dropped most of the Airbox subscription channels, freeing up bandwidth while adding QVC. Not sure if other ION/Airbox stations have done the same thing.
Umm, every cable system has QVC already. This deal just gives it extra broadcast coverage it never had, and judging from the lack of success Ion has had with getting Qubo and Life on cable, QVC won't be taking that carriage direction.
