ION Network Schedule Changes April 2 (Infomercials Staying)

The ION Network will be making schedule changes on April 2 and unfortuantely the infomercials will continue during the daytime hours.

Green Acres, Growing Pains, and Charlie's Angels are all being shelved and the following new shows will be airing instead:

6PM-7PM Moral Court
7PM-8PM ALICE
10PM-11PM The Wonder Years

Mama's Family and Diagnosis Murder will remain in the 8PM-10PM time slot for the time being. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/2007/03/ion-televison-april-schedule-sees-alice.html

The link also mentions that Growing Pains will now only air at 130AM on Nick-at-Nite And apparently Full House gets an hour run 9PM-10PM in additon to the 830PM run on Nickelodeon.

Seems like I heard of Moral Court before. Are these reruns?

You forgot that Amen is coming back April 2nd at 7 PM Eastern, 6 PM Central as well unless this has changed since last time I saw the blog on Sitcoms Online. Good to see Alice back on TV after many years.

And 90 minutes of Full House on Nick at Nite. What else is new? ::)

Seems that ION (pax,I) doesnt know what they are doing. They keep shows on for a couple of months and they disappear. But also the informercials are 90% of there schedule. Drop the friggin informercials already. otherwise just call go all the way and change the name again to The informercial Network (I thought that was what the "I" meant) They have a good oportunity to have the first broadcast network for classic tv.. cmon ION go for it. Show up TVland

Finally found out what Moral Court is about. It is reruns of a court show that lasted only ONE season in 2000-2001. I bet with right around 100 or more episodes give or take, that will get tiring after a while.

I wish they would have left Green Acres on there, better still, bring back Welcome Back, Kotter and add another show to that like Head Of The Class.

What I would liked to have happened was have this lineup:

All times Eastern(take a hour off for Central time)

6:00 PM Welcome Back, Kotter
6:30 PM Head Of The Class
7:00 PM Amen
7:30 PM Alice
8:00 PM Mama's Family (2 episodes)
9:00 PM Wonder Years (2 episodes)
10:00 PM Diagnosis: Murder

But we can't get what we want.

If this is the result of the viewer poll, I can't believe that Moral Court was a top pick. This must be something ION had plans to put on regardless of how the poll came out. The only show I voted for out of the ones that are being added was The Wonder Years, although I'm not against Alice being added as well. But Moral Court is the biggest waste of time on ION yet other than infomercials and Gene Scott. There are too many courtroom shows in the daytime. We don't need another one in prime time, even if it's on ION. :-\

Yes, even if it is a rerun of a show that lasted one season. ION could have done better than that. And if they wanted a court show, show reruns of the Judge Wapner version of People's Court. That lasted 12 years and at least 2,000+ episodes. We could really see what people were like back between 1981 and 1993 when that show was on with their court cases. And People's Court is also a Warner Brothers product so that fits in.

To me "Alice" never held up well over time, much like "One Day At A Time." Compare to "Mama's Family," which still cracks me up.

Or how 'bout the version with former New York City Mayor Ed Koch as judge? What a hoot he was! :D *LOL!*

Cheers :D

You can blame me if you want. I voted for Moral Court. There was such an odd selection of shows on the voting page, I ended up picking that as one of the better choices out of a bad lot.

(FWIW, I can't believe that it was actually a winner, though - things I vote for usually don't win. I tend to believe they might have wanted to put it on regardless, because it is probably a very cheap program to license.)

I don't like Moral Court, but the show has performed well in reruns in some markets including Chicago. As for Alice, it is a reasonable show, but it is past its time. I rather watch these shows compared to Green Acres.

As for Mama's Family, it is a great show. Mama's has done very well for Ion and I believe it is their highest rated show.
