IPAD/IPHONE app for LPFM audio stream

I am helping a friend that is running a small LPFM. A few listerers have requested a player so they can listen to the stream on their ipads, as now it gives them a "flash not supportted" message. I am certain he is using shoutcast for his stream.

Has anyone else run into this issue & may have a resolution to fix it?

Thanks,

Guy

ok,,I will forward this to the web designer.

Thanks

HTML5 Audio tags on a web page should be all it takes. If you already have a flash player, you could do some quick browser detection and show the HTML5 player to user agents that include the "ipad" keyword. Hope this helps.

I agree,, I have my station on Tunein,, Its a free app and works great... Also,, if your sure the station is on Shoutcast, Your listeners can download the Shoutcast app,, Which I beleive is 99 cents. With Net Radio being quite mobile these days, You have to have a way for listeners to listen in their cars,,,, when their at the Gym,,, or just hanging out. :p

Thanks for the input,,,I think they want to fix the issue right at the web stream. But I will refer to tunein.com as well.
