iParty Radio is back :)

All of a sudden on Friday, Sept 26, 2025, iParty's first facebook update since 2013!!!

On a related note...here's one of the banners I had on my MySpace page back in 2006...all the dance stations I loved before I knew about iParty Radio. ClublandUSA was a little online dance station I ran for a few years.

Awesome, I'll be listening and reminiscing about all the fun times my brother and I had in the club back in the day!

Whenever anybody would ask us if we were twins, we were like

Back in the mid 00's me and my bro signed up at a local business together and the woman asked "you guys are brothers?"...we both did the "noooo....yeessssss" thing and high fived. By the look she gave us, she clearly never saw A Night at the Roxbury

LOL, my brother and I saw that movie a lot when it was in the theater!

Out of all the stations from that banner above, only BPM at SiriusXM and 103.5 WKTU - NYC are still around. This makes me think of those now 'classic dance/trance' tracks I come across (from the 2000s for example) on like TikTok and Facebook from the now defunct VIVA music channel from Germany that shuttered a few years back. Those were the days where Europeans at least got quite a bit of vocal trance and dance hits from before the mid-2000s American/Westernization ownership takeover that either replaced or heavily influenced the music away from all that.

Was VIVA long or short lived?

I would consider VIVA to have been long-lived. It went from 1993 to 2018. Viacom International began overtaking many music video channels across Europe in the mid-2000s on and changed the 'music formula' of VIVA after that point while in other European countries that had VIVA changed to other MTV channels (different genres/different country names, etc.)
TMF, aka, The Music Factory was another popular music channel that had plenty of dance product. Originally coming from the Netherlands, it expanded too to other countries but wasn't as long lived having hailed from 2002 to 2009, but just as influential in pushing out EDM/trance music from that decade. I believe the UK also had something called Clubland TV but I'm not sure whether that channel or service is still active. Flaunt channel from over there was another vague example.

Glad to see you're on iHeart. Just added you to my presets on their app. The iHeart 90s Dance Station is awful. Question....would you consider any 80's dance anthems as well? My sweet spot for club music was 86-2000 and I love the synth pop, freestyle and early house tracks of the late 80s. But if it doesn't fit no worries. I will be checking it out. I'm 51 by the way and really don't pay attention to current EDM as much. Started losing interest mid 2000s when the celebrity DJ craze took over

Hi all, thanks for the shout about iPartyRadio! It’s been a blast bringing this back to life after 15 years, and the feedback so far has been awesome. Strategically, there’s a reason why “& Beyond” is part of the positioning statement, while we’ll always be anchored in the 90s and 2000s (and eventually more 2010s as time goes on), it leaves the door open to dip a little earlier or later when it makes sense.

Thank you for listening! Cheers.
