IQ off the air

K-Love is the stronger of the two EMF formats. 89.5 WKVP Cherry Hill will likely switch to Air 1 when 106.9 becomes K-Love. K-Love is more like Christian Hot AC, Air-1 is more like Christian Rock.

I still can't get over that non-profit EMF outbid CBS for this station. Unless CBS really doesn't think KYW needs an FM simulcast and no other owner wanted it either. Very odd.

It really is a shame what happened with this radio station. When they first debuted I thought they had a lot of promise. I feel very bad for the people who lost their jobs. I would have to guess that poor management failed their people.

1) Did Merlin make any money on this sale?

2) When the religious programming begins, do you think Larry Mendte will apply for a job as their morning man?

There will be no local programming from EMF. They'll get a main studio waiver and put a dish up at the transmitter site.
