Ira Flatow Gets Help

Makes sense. She's filled in a bunch of times and is a solid substitute host for that program. Even though it's only two hours a week, SciFri must involve more pre-show prep work than the average program, and he's taken progressively more time off in recent years, not sure if that's due to health issues or just a lot of accrued vacation/PTO. But Ira's been around since NPR in the 1970s, and everyone might be looking down the road to the inevitable. (By which I mean illness or retirement; I'm not suggesting he's on the greased skid to the big dirt nap anytime soon, though of course that's inevitable eventually for all of us.)
