IRA WILSKER GONE FROM KLVI

The computer expert IRA WILSKER has been dropped from KLVI after 17 years to make way for a syndicated show from MICHAEL BERRY starting on the 13th of May. I think this is shame, because they did not even give Ira a chance to say goodbye to his listeners. I hope this Berry thing fails, and I now have another reason to hate Clear Channel.

Clear Channel could care less if an employee was with a company 50 years (just an example)They will let you go and could care less. Its all about the money and saving money. Gotta love Corporate radio. These out of town corporations come in, take over and fire local talent. That company is the poster child for destroying radio!

KLVI: Yet another step closer to becoming KTRH east.

Show of hands all who are surprised by this.... KLVI, sweet sweet 5k signal.
Their stick or sticks must be in a swamp the way they scream out of Beaumont. What will CC and the other slimey corporations do when they lose the last listener to alternative providers? They'll probably buy up the alternatives and start the whole damn pillaging all over again. As a youngster, I spent some time in the Triangle in the mid 60's. Got to tell you, Beaumont radio was rockin' just as hard if not harder than Houston, and the Golden Triangle great bands and singers from that era are numerous.

My prediction - in a year, we'll look at KLVI as KTRH's eastern extension, carrying the same feed as KTRH's.

Think of the savings.
