Assuming we do get hit by Irene as a cat 2 or 3 storms how do you predict the radio and tv stations will fair as far as being able to stay on air? and this is for Charleston Myrtle Beach
 
Truthfully I hope we don't get hit. The current course of this storm makes it very hard to tell whats going to happen till the last minute, it's what you might call a border line track with the possibility of a direct hit or a near miss at the last minute.
 
Yeah, I'm up on the Outer Banks in NC and, even though we're used to storms like this veering north and swinging thru here, I've noticed that locals seem to be taking this one pretty seriously. And on top of that, we could feel that earthquake in Virginia pretty good here on the Banks a little while ago. Now all the weisenheimers are planning hurricane and earthquake parties.

I work with Max Radio of the Carolinas and typically, our stations give wall-to-wall coverage of hurricane events...usually staying through hurricanes up to Cat 3. We'll see how this shakes down...I'm with you, Gate, it's still too early to tell exactly where this one will land yet.
