Irony at the Seattle Center

Hanging around Seattle Center a little bit today...wanted to check out the location, status of KEXP pleasure palace. Amused at how they have gone from 3rd floor CMU building classroom closet to grand footprint at iconic Seattle real estate venue. Not many other university training stations can say they have had the same joyride....guess they just need a few billionaires in their towns to prop their station up too.

Meanwhile...taken by the irony that on THAT corner of Seattle Center is a somewhat low-profile radio station spending like gangbusters to try to make a local impact....and at the other corner of Sea Center is KCTS which just shaved every piece of local programming capability they could get away with (with exception that "online" presence is promised now instead....but we'll see). Tale of two signals.

The irony is that the money behind KEXP is coming from people who made it in the tech business, and have more interest in online media that broadcast. Yet they're willing to contribute to a broadcast radio station, and let a broadcast TV station fall apart.

Just curious, A...what's your motive for rebutting every thread in practically every board on here - especially ones on public radio? No agenda here, no baiting - it's just when you average nearly 7 posts per day - EVERY day including holidays for the last 7 years - it intrigues me.

Where did I rebut? In fact, if anything, I'm agreeing.

I wasn't aware there were limitations to the number of posts. I simply love to discuss radio. It's a hobby. It's what I did here.

In spite of us not always agreeing on certain topics, I'd much rather see BigA's views than a select few of other's who seem to post particularly on the Seattle board. At least BigA has the professional track record to back up his comments, whether you like what he says or not.

Whoa, whoa, easy everyone...don't get so uptight. I was just intrigued that "TheBigA" had posted so much and was curious why. That's all. Wasn't taking issue with anything and I admit to misusing the word "rebut".

Post all you want, A. And yes, Kelly - A's passion for radio shows in his posts.
