Hanging around Seattle Center a little bit today...wanted to check out the location, status of KEXP pleasure palace. Amused at how they have gone from 3rd floor CMU building classroom closet to grand footprint at iconic Seattle real estate venue. Not many other university training stations can say they have had the same joyride....guess they just need a few billionaires in their towns to prop their station up too.
Meanwhile...taken by the irony that on THAT corner of Seattle Center is a somewhat low-profile radio station spending like gangbusters to try to make a local impact....and at the other corner of Sea Center is KCTS which just shaved every piece of local programming capability they could get away with (with exception that "online" presence is promised now instead....but we'll see). Tale of two signals.
