Kinda hard to believe a woman that waited 2.5 years and tried for a settlement before going to police.....Irvin wasn't great...but Ben & Skin are spares.

This had been rumored for a while, so I doubt that the allegations of rape have anything to do with Mr. Irvin's dismissal.

If memory serves, Ben and Skin didn't get fired from the Ticket. They left to replace Pugs and Kelly on Live105.3. I'm sure the Ticket would have left them on week-ends and Mavs post-games for a long, long time.

As far as the situation at 105.3, those guys simply arrived at the wrong place at the wrong time. These guys were asked to take over drivetime when they were still learning how to broadcast five days a week. That's like throwing a redshirt freshman into the national title game. They were in way over their heads.

On the brightside, half of the pair has landed a sweet TV gig with the Mavs and brought some legitimacy to their considerable basketball knowledge.

Given their lack of football cred and the "serious sports talk only" attitude of ESPN radio, there is no way they can catch Bob and Dan-  but they will pwn the Fan. Bank on it.

I wonder how Richie and Newy feel about this. They were the only show on the Fan that could "brag" about being able to beat ESPN. I hope B&S overtake Richie and Newy!

I'm sure they would have too. They are weekend hacksters. They had a hard time filling two-hours on Saturday with interesting, compelling talk. Not much else to listen to.

I don't dislike them, but, they don't have a whole lot. They're not terribly interesting or unique.


Good for them but they ain't stealing any ratings from anyone and I'll be surprised if they are given another 6 months to prove yet again how unfit for primetime they really are.


As for the Irvin rape thing, I don't see any legal case to be made from what's been made public. Even he did it, the gal's got nothing but her word to go on. That being said, with Irvin's history, I wouldn't be surprised if something (maybe not as she describes, but) did happen either.

I think Ben and Skin are better than Irvin and the Fail, but unless they are allowed to broadcast like they could at the ticket then they will never beat BaDD radio

Since Ben and Skin worked at the Ticket, they are Ticket alums, not Ticket rip-off artists.

That said, unless I'm looking for b-ball talk, I'll stick w/ BAD radio.
