they are now playing the eagles about once an hour. and every now and then a rock song appears. poison/ lenny kravitz/ billy idol..not just at 12 noon all throughout the day. plus the sleepy nights are gone and the website still mentions the 103 days of summer. is this my imagination or is something going on in BR?

that was sunday. not on the 80s at noon show. i have heard journey seperate ways. kenny loggins i'm alright (not hard rock but i consider rock). U2 pride in the name of love. may not be nothing happening but its a lot edgier than the river!
Well, it doesn't seem that strange to me, if you have been listening at all for any length of time, you would know that these songs have all been playing for sometime now. As far as the Eagles go, "How Long" will be top ten this week on R and R as well as mediabase. Nothing going on here. Besides, you don't have to do to much to be "edgier" than the river. That would just envolve breathing.

i have xm also. i have my premium online player on right now. actually listing to Elvis right now. as for regular radio goes i do listen to Rock 937 at work. its the best station in south louisiana imo.

thats why i was listing to it. what else is there in baton rouge? eagle? yuk! river..hurl! there is nothing here. if 103.3 would make that playlist a bit wider it would be better. i checked yes.com they seem to repeat even old songs. like sting. and rhianon by fleetwood mac. but they did play lenny kravitz!

more gold. go back futher than 1978. say from 70-now. add all the songs that were on ac back in the 80s. and add some cool stuff like nick gilder, 38 special, heart. kind of like sunny 24 on xm.
That could work. Sunny seems to be increasing in each book. It just takes awhile in AC. Hopefully Citadel will not chop the head off the goose that laid the golden egg before it switches again.

if they were smart they would chop the head off of diva 92.3! they should make that station Gold AC IMO.

No! Please no! I'd rather them go CHR than AC or Gold AC! If they do it right, they can do the exact same thing as Mix 104.1. Same tower, same broadcast area, etc. B-97 is not very listener-friendly anymore. And if you heard that afternoon show they call the Swirl, you'd wanna jump ship for a change, too!
But yeah, they tried that before with Lite 92.3. Strange thing about that station I think was, during its entire existance, it broadcasted in MONO. Did anyone ever notice? I did and apparently, I wasn't alone! The broadcasted signal was (((STEREO))), but the audio feed to the xmitter was mono. I thought that had something to do with the terrible ratings it'd pull in....
But please, no more AC. We've already got Magic 101.9 and Diva's sister Martini 106.1. Martini is actually getting better since Jim Hanzo took over the PD gig. No more swing music, just Gold AND current AC. A wider playlist than Magic!
And BTW, 106.7 KKND seems to be doin a little better. They brought back some of the gold and got a hot jingle package that's full of energy & get's you singing along.

I could deal with CHR as long as the Diva monkier goes away! Say Power 92.3? 923 wdvw? Todays hit music 923 wcdv (or change those calls also)

It does seem that Citadel has cleaned up both Martini and KKND. I can take more of both now than 6 months ago, Martini is wider than majic and a little more focused it seems and while Im not a huge country guy KKND is 1000 times better than the rockin disaster
