Is 103.9 advertising at all?

I can't recall the last station launch for which I've seen no advertising whatsoever.  But I haven't seen anything for WTDA's rock-based Classic Hits format.  Zero.  Zilch.  In the past, Nabco has *always* blanketed the city with billboards when a new format launches (and also at other times, especially for 99.7).  But not this time.  The economy, perhaps?  WTDA's performance will have to be judged relative to this lack of support.

Or maybe I've just missed the advertising?  Has anyone seen billboards or other advertising for 103.9's current format?

And BTW, whether you like 103.9's music mix or not (and I do), it's amazing to compare the size of its list to, say, the Brew and Q.  I swear 103.9's list must be *at least* ten times as big -- quite literally.

I've not seen any advertising for 103.9's new format. However, I must say I like their selection of music as well, and it does seem to be much larger than the Brew. As for the Q, I haven't listened to them in decades.

I think NABCO made the right choice when they dropped the talk format and went with this music format. However, I'm not a fan of talk, unless it is a News format like NPR.

I remember the billboards all over the west of Columbus at least for TED FM in 2005, right around when Bob and Tom joined 103.9.

Ted had a lot of billboards (even in areas the signal wasn't great) . They also had many boards when they launched the TALK FM format too.

Do any of you remember the banner ads that were in tow from airplanes? At least I saw them occasional in the downtown area from 2004-2005.
I think they may had a contract this this banner ad company: http://www.air-banners.com/about_us.php

But yes, considering how much advertising Ted FM did, it seems strange they aren't currently advertising. They probably don't have the advertising budget they had back then? ???
