Is AM 1040 KURS ever going back on the air?

Frankly , nobody cares or listens to KURS. The real conversation should be 'How bad KCBQ is". It's wasting electricity

I thought the last election round would put it back in Arbitron but it did'nt crack it at all. Time to pull the plug.

This station was problematic from the start; or attempted start. It took 8 years and numerous CP extensions to get it on the
air. Being unhappy with the low power station, he sought a 5kw/1.7kw 3 tower setup across route 125 from Eastlake H.S.
Bonilla has a paper trail at the FCC that's longer than a Charmin roll. Its tough keeping employees around, even when they come
from across the border. His reputation in Mexico is anti-union. If he had to hire himself, he'd quit within an hour.
He's burned bridges with PreacherMan , Seoul San Diego, and the Music of Your Life syndicators, not to mention his wife.
Multicultural ain't blinking, and this silence may last for a long time.
This would be a good station for 'Activist San Diego'. "KASD" call letters are available....

Being as KCBQ is owned by Salem Communications, they won't show in the publicly released figures since Salem doesn't subscribe to Arbitron. Safe to say they'd likely be in the 0.5-1.5 range if they were listed. [1.5 being quite generous, I'd think! ;)]
