Just found this in the RJ today. It's an article about Mix's Pet-A-Palooza which has always donated part of the proceeds to animal shelters and charities around Vegas. In fact, the charitable aspect was one of the reasons to start it years ago. In this article, Jerry (the GM) blames the decision to not donate on light attendance at LAST YEAR’S event due to bad weather. In my opinion, the decision is more likely due to corporate greed OR not enough people left at CBS to execute the process. In any event, this makes CBS look pretty bad...

A number of remotes and events held by that cluster have been pretty low turn out in general....I think they are more embarrassed than cheap.
