IS ANYONE AIRCHECKING KDWN...

Unless everyone is in the dark at KDWN nothing will be happening now .listening to Mark Edwards a few minutes ago he mentioned how he is not usually on friday but is filling in for Jim Dallas who will be back next week. If Beasley does change locations.format and talent this would be more like a store closing down than a radio station changing hands. One hour of the old could lead to one hour of the new without interuption. There would not be mass terminations at KDWN as for all intents and purposes they would be ceasing operations from the Plaza and it would be up to radio nevada inc. to inform staff of shut down date and time ,similar to store going out of business. Latest trends show KDWN rising about 7%. This could be due to people tuning in to hear Mr. Elliot doing his own ads for his safe deposit operation. He sounds like a character actor or cop direct from central casting.
 
I suspect that by the end of July everyone will know what's going down at KDWN. You can always check out the trade publication Radio & Records for updated info. It takes a little time to assemble staffing, programming, etc. when there is a format change of this kind. As someone once said, stay tuned! Being a 25+ year listener to that station, I have a keen interest in what happens to it, & if I dig something up, I will let everyone know ASAP.
 
Tru the Hawker Hawkins was trying to sell his house on the air last week..I think he said he leaving the area when the station folds.....aren't the one the air people board ops any way? who do duty as talk hosts.....and how can part time pete be on the air so much if he is part time? you would think beasley would be doing some promotion
